And teachers' unions are fighting this training tooth and nail in this state (Mbutt.). They appear to be winning because the high school graduation test is getting watered down with exceptions to all rules.

Eugene Miya It is true that education is a bureaucracy like other insbreastutions in US and 1st world society, and it perpetuates itself. I think that we should not specifically dump on trade schools...

He didn't stay after the damage was done.

Yup. It didn't help to have a couple of unconscientious engineers in key management positions. I suppose it is certainly true that you can only herd a finite number of cats. Once a certain population count is achieved, you have to switch to herding cattle.

WEll, I wonder if the same thing would happen if both Cutler and Bell had disappeared by 1975. These were two people whose messes everybody had to work around. It isn't clear that they made any positive contribution after that year...perhaps even earlier.

For two people's stinkin personalities to have this kind of impact on corporate business does imply no real management...although if I've never seen real management, I probably don't know what I don't know.

But who does the dirty work? Those low castes are the ones. At some point, if India "allows" its middle clbuttes to grow too much, doing only office work without training that 30% to do send jobs with machinery, there will be an implosion fairly soon. Wouldn't there?

I try not to make these kinds of mistakes. But do keep hitting me on the head when I do.

Is a service economy the next step in economic evolution after an engineering economy? I'm not writing this well.

It boils down to the math. Trade schools often do lots more advanced math than some...

But it's not. Unions have to be eliminated before that woodenheadedness goes to splinters.

Yes. And the engineers, doctors, and lawyers breed kids who don't learn how to work. This is that middle clbutt malaise that makes it easier and popular to not be curious. These kids are not forced to have jobs and create lots of messes for others, especially cops and hospitals, to clean up.
