How do they get welfare if they don't have a social security number? If they have a social security number, then they are paying taxes in some form. They do buy stuff.
You ask your congresscritter. The *FACT* is that they do, and preferential treatment, as well. They also vote, so go figure out how that happens. Not much...
And I heard a report that interviewed the nurses who did the work. The people who get the freebies are playing the welfare system and tend to be middle clbutt from Mexico (the ones having babies were having the birth filmed with video cameras--this is not those who are out working).
For what crimes? Where did they come from? Cuba when Jimmy Carter played the benevolent god and Castro tweaked his nose?
I said I mixed emotions. The people I'm talking about are not afraid of working for their money. They are buying stuff, are they not?
And people in Mexico are going to go to the places that pay lots of money for "easier" work. Increasing minimum wage is just simply going to create an irrsistable market for people in countries who have no minimum wage constraints.
Nobody in the US wants to pay pots of money to "legal" workers. That's why there is a market for illegal labor.
So where do you think the new pathways are going to go? Isn't Canada closer to China than southern California?
