Of course. There is no such thing as a perfect program. The same is much more true when you have people involved (which is what politics is all about). Even Mbuttachusetts' citizens are getting fed up with the Democrats' congnitive dissonance. This overturning is not a short-term cycle. When Tip O'Neil was young and just starting politics, the dominant polical group in Harvard (this from his book) were Republicans. Can you believe that now?

I'm not talking about newly rich here. This that group that knows how to manage countries and economics and stuff like that. It's a royalty-like training that they get from childhood on. Think about it. In olden days, 14 year old boys were running fiefdoms (I think that's the correct word). They had to know how to plan which work gets done by whom and where to keep their peons fed, clothed and able to work so that people can be fed, clothed and able to work.

And those on the bottom will figure out how to take advantage. It's the ones in the middle that object to both sides. This is called capitalism and it works. Note that, in capitalism, it isn't the same individuals who stay at the same level. Everybody goes up and everybody goes down which keeps people alert. When the so-called Liberals get their ways and make everything equal, everybody becomes poor and have to break laws to get ahead. To keep them from striving to improve their buttets, laws have to be made to squelch such awful wants. Now you have to have a viscious dictatorship that kills anybody caught with contraband and-or doing something useful and productive.

Yes, it will because you won't be able to find people to do that work. So now you have to import your guards. This is exactly what happened in the Roman Empire. In addition, your country is ripe for invasion because the citzenry isn't interested in doing their own work. Now you have hire mercenaries to do your fighting for you. (Clinton was doing this already.) To fund all of this stuff, you have start tapping all the lovely money that the "rich" have, where rich are those who acquired wealth making stuff and being useful. Now you are eating your seed corn. If you want your nation to be successful and prosperous, you need to be kind to your wealthy.

But that crowd will no longer be locals.

Yup. And you'll stop spending all that tax money on a futile condition.
