This equal rights movement had nothing to do with equality of all; it had to do with women are more equal than men and should get freebies. Instead of finding a sugar daddy in the form of an individual male, they wanted the function transferred to the federal government (note federal, not state). This completely removed self-determination and eliminates responsibility for one's own actions and the consequences of one's actions.
