You are not doing those adults a favor. The zero should be an incomplete, unfullfilled, NAN, or something. These people are supposed to be getting prepared for the real working world. There is no zero that gets averaged into their salary and performance reviews. The zero would result in the beginning of the termination process.
sorting 3978 snip That wasn't my intent when I wrote the paragraph beginning "Excellent" above -- my intent was to say that while *you* might be basing your buttessments only on competence, I wasn't sure that was... sorting 3980 snip Yes, I'm generalizing from one of my own experiences, and you're right that I did get better, as time went on, at figuring out how to modify... No, it's not. It is a metric used in your neck of the education biz. It has some form of interpretation. There is no difference between 80% and a $10-hour raise if there is not no context.
You have been implying that I'm biased if I expect somebody to do the work. You insist on being "kind" and politically correct by packaging the whole performance analysis in these rules that say, "Thou shalt not use this list of data to make your hiring and-or evaluating decisions." Yes. Or quit. This is a job slot that requires a committment of 5 years without retraining. The employee will "grow" with the job as he-she designs. I would also not hire any male that doesn't have a long-term concentration span. This isn't abusing the system; the politically correct have taught everybody that this kind of behaviour is a "right". This atbreastude has evolved into criminal behaviour. No. It was another thing altogether. You would not say the same things to a male. You would not tell him to be kinder and gentler. You would not try to make debate points for the sole purpose of trying to prove that you are smarter than he is. I know. If males talked about this stuff, they would get their buttes fired for loveual harrbuttment. One was very brave in saying the one obtuse thing he did say. hmmm...obtuse may not be the adjective I want but I can't think of a better one; it is supposed to mean that the statement was purposely broad and not pointed to avoid the usual loveual harrbuttment males get for having an opinion on this subject. This stuff is NOT OFF-TOPIC. Please don't talk off-newsgroup through email any more. sorting 3981 On Tue, 08 Aug 06 10:58:59 GMT Certainly not, but it does take a while before I completely stop activating the wipers (or at least... The topic is getting the next generation ready and able to replace us. BAH
