I see this all the time.

I used to work with folks who figured it was their moral duty to pace someone and force the traffic to "go the speed limit", even if it meant going 15mph slower than the "normal flow".

I met1 only one guy who was worse -- he'd get worked into a state of road rage if people would pbutt him, so he'd never, ever, let someone get in front of him if he could help it, and had no problems tailgating if need be.

As an aside, such behaviour, if observed by Police in Germany, could earn you a significant fine for obstructing traffic, especially...

If, by some mischance, they succeeded, he'd do *anything* get get in front of them and then he'd slam on his brakes to "teach 'em a lesson". (He was unpleasant in other ways, too, although he saw himself as a wonderful, good-natured, moral and upstanding person.)

I'll take a kid racing down the highway any day of the week over THAT bozo.

Nope. It was designed that way. I buttociated this with the f***ing "safety feature" of having to have the...

I see folks do that 'round here... they get on the highway, and then drift -- no turn signal, often in one continuous lane-change -- all the way over to the left lane... then sometimes they speed up if people try to pbutt 'em on the right (just enough to keep anyone from getting in front of them).

These seem to also be the sorts of folks who'll wait until the last second to exit the freeway as well -- from the leftmost lane all the way to the rightmost (exit) lane in one abrupt all-lanes lane change.

I was taught that if you get pbutted on the right, you (a) are in the wrong lane and worse, you (b) weren't paying attention to the traffic around you.

1 At a dinner party. I didn't learn about the road-rage stuff until afterwards, by which I had gotten peeed off at him, and peeed him off in return. Which is a different story.
