In the olden days, early 1900s, our grown up, and mostly dead, Democrats saw prep schools as Republican and the enemy because those people were rich and these Democrats, when they were kids, were not. So, when they grew up, they got into politics to right that wrong. An admirable goal. The methods have done exactly the opposite, and made it all inaccessible.

Ah, do you allow your college adminstrations to milk the honey pot? Ours does. The head Democrat of this state is getting millions of retirement dollars out of the school fund. And he keeps wasting more school money by filing law suits to squeeze extra $10K or so. He now does this every year.
Harvard's main industry is real estate, not delivery of education services.
We have a couple. One is called the SAT. You can take it over and over and over and over and over again, paying a couple hundred dollars each time, until you get it perfect. The test has also been changed to that blacks can get higher scores, not whites, not oriental, not mexican but blacks. This is how our EEO and equal rights have gone insane.
