It is stronger than desire. I get twitchy. I have to know. I may even sacrifice a first born to find the answer. The use of the word "find" is important; easy answers are boring.

The important part of this, even though you weren't interested to the point of obsession ;-), is that you took it. You had the opportunbreasty to find out if liked doing physics, labs, and you received some idea of what that biz did to get its work done.

Oh, good grief.

It uses a modified form of the scientific method.

I don't recall ever having to do the step of asking whether my task is teleological or something that can be studied using the Scientific method. Our methods of establishing a control differs from science. Also most of our setups don't take decades to create.

If it has to have the word science in it, then it isn't science but trying very hard to pretend it is science. This naming was the worst thing the biz ever did. People spend too much time trying to prove it's a science rather than using the time to make stuff work...and make it work well.
