Or something that should be left alone. Why hamstring each and every CS freshman? Why give every female an excuse for everything that goes wrong? Why give every male an excuse for dismissing females in the biz? I can't imagine being a female in that course. I'd be so peeed off. "Here is a reason why managers can spout at you when they want to keep you from getting your work done."
What correct action? ARe you going to hold a gun to the heads of females whose lottery number has been picked and force them to get a CS degree? Why is this a freshman clbutt and not an MBA clbutt? I can't think of a more effective discouragement technique than to point at all the newbies and make a public example. It's hard enough to get started in college and establish a larger and new pecking order without being pointed at as a facial pimple.
