IME, this excessive concern did not consider the contributions of the disadvantaged female at all. The opposite happened. The females got raises, promotions, glowing performance reviews even though they did no work at all. Now, how do you think these females lived in their daily work life. They sat in their chairs doing nothing, bored to rest. Do you think that this is helping the "disadvantaged"? I don't think so. These employees do not learn nor improve nor adjust to the biz as the biz evolves. They will have absolutely no prospects of employment when they get older. They will not know how to work.

Yes. Did those same studies keep track of the love of the people who were interpreting the resumes?

This has happened to me. But only when the person, who was not listening, was a female. The males listened just fine; I am not counting those males who were untrainable which is a different problem.

Instead of trying to squish those rules into a male container, try to think about the type of work. Could those possibly have a source based on the type of work and type of thinking that is required to accomplish something?

Computer work and learning is based on the doing, not on the yakking about the current society acceptance of oddballs. Women, and men, who are successful in this biz (which not a mature industry) are not usually the creme dala creme of society. These people have to make stuff. They have to learn new stuff. It is not a choice. When the industry gets to the point where everything can be produced on a production line, then you can start setting up journeyman style training.

And most men say "no thank you". The whole point of this education is to teach the few who are interested and capable enough basic knowledge so that they can make useful stuff when they get out into the real world.
