Nope. A theory is an idea that has already been unfalsified. This doesn't make it true nor does it guarantee no errors. But somebody has managed to come up with a test. The Scientific Method is procedure used in science. The computer biz uses a modified form of the Scientific Method to get the work done. I've always thought it was mistake to put the word Science in the name. I'm more convinced of this now.

Yes, I know you were. Mine matches reality in that we only did what was physically possible and we were your consumers. Think about that. We buy your product. Our biz' success is based on the quality of your product (kiddies with no experience).

That depends on the managers' rules. The managers in your biz are the teachers, department heads, and school policies.

Nope. Joe comes across as somebody who is capable of working on the same thing all his life. Engineers cannot. They twitch if they cannot finish a project and start a new one. Now, think about a Sally who listens to Joe and sees how to use a stage of his work.

This is how innovation happens.

You confuse empty boasts with people who like to talk their work. The Sallys do not talk about what they built yesterday; they talk about what today's problem was with building tomorrow's product.

You are still stuck on trying to impress somebody else as the underlying goal. I'm telling you that the females and males who have to build something think more about the problem they couldn't solve today than if they have bad breath...unless they are mate hunting. (Noone thinks about work if they are mate hunting.)

This difference was show starkly during that 3000-post thread with a prof who thought he knew all about coding but really didn't. What is elegant in the clbuttroom is impractical in the field.

I need to thank you for spending all of this time with me. I no longer exude adrenalin when I think about this problem. This means that I'm already working on how to fix it and-or if it's possible to fix.
