Oh, someone who works in one of those hospitals was telling me of one of the "Less standard occurances". Don't be alarmed, these are boundary conditions, in the usual maternity hospital, these cases amount to a small part of the throughput. Its a problem, almost impossible to make a judgement on, without going back to the health standards of Nazi Germany, which was just a extreme case of what was being postulated all over the world.

"Good" parents end their children with antibiotics at any infection, even in cases where the medicine is completely useless. So instead of the old ordinary childhood illnesses, we have asthma, and several other, unknown until recently, that MAY be caused by side effects of the very powerful medicines being used for trivial illnesses.

Actually,a young girl nearby had a child when barely 16 (the father was around the same).. Next thing, post natal depression, sick child, really grotty lodgings (Ireland has one of the better social services, but its still really a fraud).. By now, they have struggled through that, the lad has a good job, they have a small car, moved out of the grotty lodgings that social services subsidised into a mobile home beside her parents, the child looks wonderful. Hopefully, given luck, they are making it.

Rich people generally have less children than poor, the rich have buttets that they are jealous of dividing, the poor value their children as protection for their old age. (Think that your pension scheme will keep you into retirement??.. Check the value of these swindles since the first Internet boom, a lot are `deficent', and curiously, some of the worse are accounting firms and banks. This is going to get worse, the Internet boom was just a sign that future developments are not well understood by professional investors ). In this country, Ireland, there was a long depression between 1921 and 1957, while the rulers got to understand that we couldn't go back to living as the Irish did before the Normans arrived. A lot of people with property didn't get married, the social conditions that their parents understood had stopped, no `dowrys', etc. Poorer people got married and managed somehow. Now, those old single people are dying off, and the former barefoot urchins are taking over the properties.

Hell, there was one family that 120 years ago was on the bottom of society. Now, there are doctors, teachers, car dealers, builders, etc, (sad to say, one is a politician). My mother used to describe them when she was young, now all that is forgotten.
