On the contrary. She's a f***ing idiot. She never missed dis'ing math and anybody who does it.

Since I lived those decades, I didn't encounter this. Sure, there were individuals who had the opinion that women should always be slaves. The math grads in my school had females. There was a physics grad who was female and ran the accelerator downstairs. Every place I worked had a female for their math expert, including DEC.

There were women everywhere, except the field, at DEC. Pat White was a monitor gal. That language group seemed to be all female at times. IIRC, the last male manager languages was Jim Mills, and that was in the 70s. If there were any other males, they were uninteresting because nobody remembers them.

Look, there was a difference between the UK and the US in atbreastude. From WWII to now, the UK is still socialistic in its hidden buttumptions. This has a lot to do with keeping clbuttes of people in their place.

snip I think you've said elsewhere that you started college but didn't finish. I wonder whether that might be part of the reason...

That depends on which college you count. I would rather have a count of heads of people who don't belong in college.

Well, the best way to deal with those is one at a time.

The worst loveual discrimination I ever received was from other females. I always had to "ask" a male if my designs would work. It didn't matter what level of expertise that male had.

The people who made a point of discouraging me from doing science and math and computers were people who considered being smart was a sin; and they did not discriminate based on love.
