The article DOES claim that, and you have both stood by it -- it says that there are about 180 viruses (that actually spread in the wild). Meaning what? You only care about these 30 types, because these are the only ones that users encounter every day? These experts are not my own, nor are they all producers of AV solutions, and I usually avoid the makers of 'solutions' for commentary or analysis. You had no reason to buttume I was so foolish, and even less to insult me with such a comment.
