114,000 viruses Guess Again. 2947114,000 viruses Guess Again. 2948 You seem to very low threshold for establishing 'facts.' I would expect companies to work a lot harder to establish the truthfulness of their facts than you...
And what if Edwin is right? What if the number is way below 114,000 viruses for the PC? Wouldn't that make Apple's ad false advertising? I should have know that when more than one Mac Kook or Mac Zealot kept parroting the same number, they must have gotten it from Apple. It reminds me of when Apple posted performance tests of PCs and G5 Macs. It was very biased and subsequently discredited. When it was discredited, the same Mac Zealots and Kooks in here who said Macs were faster than PCs, started saying, speed didn't matter. In fact they tried to paint speed and upgrading as bad things. Imagine that. So I would warn against parroting ads from a company that's trying to sell something. Some Mac users tend to be gullible and believe every ad they read. That's stupid. I just saw a Windows XP commercial where the people who used it could fly. Have a look. Thank goodness that Apple didn't use this kind of ad to sell Macs or OS X. We would probably find some Apple fans splattered on the streets after they jumped out of open windows and off building rooftops thinking they could fly. John
