But it does make a difference. The irish came over LEGALLY and the Mexicans are crossing our borders ILLEGALLY. They are in violation of US law simply by crossing that border without proper authorization. That's a BIG difference.
I'm afraid that's the answer. Militarize the border. Regrettable, perhaps, but its in our own long-term best interest and its in the interest of those Mexicans and Central-South Americans who are here legally and work hard for US citizenship.
