If that what it takes to secure our borders, that's what it takes. We have to be ready to shoot people who violate our border, hopefully, we won't actually have to do it. And it can be automated so that it doesn't take a huge force. It will require the building of two large fences or walls with a "no-man's land" in between, which will be expensive, no doubt - but then, so is the Iraqi War. Infrared sensors have servo controlled guns fire on anyone in the no-man's land. We make sure that it is well pulicized that the border is a hard border and no one is tolerated crossing at any, other than official border stations. We make sure, with signs on the Mexican side, radio and TV broadcasts, leaflets, newspaper coverage, etc. that people in Mexico KNOW that they cannot cross the US border any more. Then we round-up asll illegals that are here, and we ship them back.
I didn't say that this was their reason, I sad this was the RESULT. Anyway, it needs to be stopped and all the illegal...
