WTF? Apple probably still gets parts from Taiwan. No. It is not far far faster. It's faster. The point I'm making and you seem to keep missing is that Apple shold make some computers based on those processors just below Xeon. Like the plain old core 2 duos. Put a single proccor in a full sized desk top for those who might want to add som HDs or other things. You can still run the 32-bit apps on the 64-bit machine. So the waste of money is dependent on how often the user uses 64-bit mode. Those users who might by Pentium Ds will have 64-bit. Maybe Apple can put out a line using those processors for the average user. But no Apple wans to cut the middle out of it's product line. There's the low and slow iMinime and the novely iMac. Then there's the Mac Pro, a workstation. Nothing for the regular folk except maybe the laptops. John
