Apple Continues To Condemn The Mac To Niche Machine 3166Steve Hix Actually the way FrameMaker for MacOS X was handled was far worse you had a good idea the program was going to buy the farm big time; it saw only two major upgrades in its life only one very minor bug fix in the whole time Adobe had it and Adobe was making NO promices about its future. Framemarker on the other hand was one of the "major applications" Adobe promiced would get an upgrate and yet they turned around and pumped out a System 9.x only version just before killing it. Quite frankly Adobe has proven itself to be so unfriendly to the Mac in recent years I would be warry of of being dependent on ANY Adobe program. Apple Continues To Condemn The Mac To Niche Machine 3167 Just like with everything in the market, there is adequate and high end. Is it worth the extra cash for higher end stuff, that is a completely individuals choice. A perfect example... Personally I find it insane and totally idiocy that anyone believes they need a US$350+ program to do 'professional' web pages. A true professional would be able to produce a professional web page regardless of the tool available wither it be iWeb, Amaya, Netscape, BEdit or they actally had to go and do the thing by hand. THAT is a professional web designer in my book; anybody else is just pretending to be one. Especially considering how many of their efforts wind up obvious things in all the 'hey hey look what I can do.' effort they do floating heads in the left hand corner just somebody who was anything but a professional.
