Apple ahead of schedule 3129I can't believe this. Nothing Apple could have done could have thrown one of MS's biggest advantages into sharper relief. There will be exasperated users who switch to Windows over this, and they won't buy Macs to do it. Porting to Cocoa is an outrageous demand to make of a large application's development team. It simply isn't in the cards, and it never was. That means that it is the Carbon porting efforts that dominate. Well, they did exagerate how easy Cocoa ports are there, I admit. But even there, Steve did talk about the 'tweaking' that would be needed, even on Cocoa. snip Apple's transition is making the advantages more obvious than they usually are, I think. :D Not everyone is will to bear any burden for the Steve, you know. :D Apple ahead of schedule 3130 I'm not really sure this is such a big advantage. How many clbuttic apps do you still use, for instance? It's been in the cards ever since... Loyal Mac users may downplay this stuff, but the less loyal ones will switch to Windows. :D
