Apple ahead of schedule 3135There'll be less of that. These transitions also make the market less attractive for a vendor to get into. Apple ahead of schedule 3136 MS surpbutted this a long time ago with OLE Automation. I should be rather surprised if Photoshop did not support that; if they don't they really... snip I think that if PS does not get an Intel native version, then Apple will lose a substantial chunk of userbase. Few users care about OSes at all. There's a small minorty that not only care about the OS, but care about it more than the apps. They may stay; but they will be very few. I think they would try to do this; but for well established, mature apps this is very hard to do. Is Windows emulation an improvement in some way, for these users, over Windows itself? snip PS takes a performance hit on Rosetta, and it is a performance intensive app. This means users will want the best performance, and if that is on Windows, they'll go there. Until there's a native Photoshop on Mac-Intel, the best Photoshop performance will, inevitably, be on Windows. Apps are what matter to users, after all, not OSes.
