Apple ahead of schedule 3136
MS surpbutted this a long time ago with OLE Automation. I should be rather surprised if Photoshop did not support that; if they don't they really should. Of course, the effort of porting AppleScripts to another language will discourage migration. But these factors always exist. Given time, the migration will happen anyway. This is more serious. MS has their own technology, but it is poorly supported compared to ColorSync. Still, there are PhotoShop users on Windows now- quite a lot of them- and they get by. This can't be a show-stopper. Apple ahead of schedule 3137 Thing is, it's not just Photoshop. AppleScript is used as part of multi-application workflows which... I doubt this is terribly important. After all, the ability to run Windows server software in a Windows environment makes little difference to Photoshop sales, right? There are always concerns that discourage migration, but a consistant, sustained performance advantage for Windows will eat into Apple's share of this market. snip
