Apple vs The Scroll Wheel 1102
He didn't buy it either. He looked on the web for mice that don't list Macs as being compatible and he found this one. But he f***ed-up (again, as usual) because even though the Targus doesn't mention Mac, the mouse WILL work with a Mac. Targus, Like Linksys and a number of others, as a company, just doesn't support Mac. That doesn't mean that its products won't WORK on Macs, just that if you call them for tech support, there's nobody there who knows Macs and can help you, and they don't guarantee that any of their products will work on a Mac. I talked to Targus' tech support yesterday, and even though he didn't know for sure, I surmised from my conversation with him, that the Targus WILL work (scroll wheel too), but not with Apple's built-in Bluetooth hardware. One needs to use the USB dongle that comes with the Targus mouse due to that mouse's unique "auto-pairing" feature. Apple vs The Scroll Wheel 1103 No. Both of the mice he "chose" are wireless using some proprietary technology not natively supported by either platform and requiring drivers from the mouse manufacturer.
