I would agree here %100, I have been in the IT business since the 80's, I have learned to hate windows, I LOVED Novell, but in all fairness XP is the best product yet from the Microsoft Campus, and the Server OS's are very good too (Advanced Server 2003). But, you do need some expertise to make them run good, or should I say KEEP them running good. Since I have been a programmer-administrator-systems engineer for almost 20 years, my friends and family inevitably call me when things go wrong, usually they have their computers all hosed up with malware and there is no way for the "average" user to recover. This is the single biggest selling point for OSX, I think they should capitalize on this, instead of using 'fuzzy facts" such as "calculator and clock" I think you may be right here, I really don't know that much about OSX to base an intelligent decision on. Well, having a slacker say he is a Mac is not very elitist or snobby... FWIW, I am trying to get my mom to buy a mac mini ;)
