Contest: The Apple ImaginationRacist or Realist 2890 I'd like to point out something very important about these statistics. Blacks are about three times as likely to be poor, and about three times as likely...
Are you suggesting that for Apple to be considered successful, or for Mac OS to be seen as a better OS, they have to have a product in every category? Apple does not have a product in every category that a computing chip is in, that is true. There are products in most of the named categories that are made to work with Mac OS, just as they do with Windows. Apple DESIGNS, not necessarily Apple technologies. And while some Apple technologies did not become common, it isn't always because they weren't any good. NuBus, for instance, was outpaced by another technology. No, it wasn't the technology that was used in DOS and Windows machines at the time. Both Apple and the other manufacturers adopted PCI. There are a LOT of devices that use the PPC processor. There are a lot being offered today that do. And the PPC still gets respect in many circles. For instance, the industry moved away from pure RISC and CISC chip design -- that was an acknowledgement of the benefits of the competing PPC architecture.
