I generally recommend the G5 towers to people. Why? 1) I'm not that sure that the first generation Intel Macs work all that well, and 2) there is little native mainstream software available for the Intel Macs (especially the Adobe stuff) and the kind of people who are apt to buy a tower wouldn't be satisfied with Photoshop or Illustrator or Indesign running in emulation. Since there is liable to be little difference between the Intel Mac towers and the dual PPC towers WRT performance, I feel that tower customers would be better-off sticking to the G5 for the time being. After all, there will be dual binaries until the next decade, at least, so buying another PPC Mac won't lose anybody anything.
Sure you do. You know exactly what Nashton would have Apple do. Close its doors and die. He has certainly demonstrated that often enough.
