No problem. Glad I could help. BTW, you are right about Apple telling you to contact...

This will take you to a preference panel called Network. In it you will see a row of "buttons" make sure the "Airport" button is highlighted. At the top, Location: should be "Automatic" and show: should be "airport." If not make it so from the pop-up options. In the pop-up marked "By Default, join:" Select "preferred networks." Below that there should be a list with network names and "Rudy" should appear. Select it. Below that there is a checkbox "Show airport Status in menu Bar" Check it. You shouldn't have to bother with "Options". The hit "Apply Now." This should connect your Mac to the network called Rudy (unless you have a WEP ID, then you have more work to do). Hit the red button at the top-left corner of the Window to close it.

What do you mean? I'm answering the question. If *YOU* get 44 people to call...

If you have WEP enabled. Go to your wireless router's setup page and get the 26 Character HEX number buttociated with your pbuttword. Then click on the airport icon now at the top right of your Mac screen (looks like a radio beam). Pop down that menu, make sure airport is turned on and select "Rudy" If Rudy is pbuttword protected. a dialog box will come up and tell you to type in your 26 character WEP Hex pbuttword. Tick the "Show Pbuttword" box first and then type in the characters. Tick "Remember pbuttword in my Keychain", then OK. You should be connected, wirelessly, to your network. To check, Launch Safari from the dock, and see if the default Apple page loads. The Mac E-mail client is called "Mail" and the icon looks like a postage stamp.

I hope this helps.
