Gates on Win95 and DOOM

It was a pain sometimes. You had to input the correct sound card settings that consisted of four or five variables. In Win 95, those variables were set automatically in many games.

I never had that problems with Duke Nukem 3D. But I did have problems with games that wanted to try and skirt between Windows 95 and DOS like Redneck Rampage. They were DOS games with sloppy Windows 95 support.

Yea once in a while I'll play one of those old games. My favorite was Heretic 1. The Dooms were good too. I play a lot of retro games on emulators of various computers. I used to want those computers way back when but didn't want to shell out the bucks. Now I can emulate the Apple, Commodor and Atari computers of the time. Most of the games can be downloaded in the public domain.
