Grown up discussions about Mac vs. PCGrown up discussions about Mac vs. PC 2181 To OP: As you can see by George Graves post. The Mac Jihad do indeed exist. Any thing seen as not pro Apple is seen as an attack on them personally and they come out... Hey, I'm looking for somewhere that I might find some grown-up discussions on MAC vs. PC useage. I don't want flames and uninformed PC or Mac users spouting off about something when they have never looked at from the other side. I'm an IT Manager-PC guru and have built and fixed PCs on corporate and social level for about 20 years now, been a Unix Admin for 10 years and recently purchased a top of the line Mac Intel Dual Core 20 inch. I was never particlarly interested in Macs until they started to run on a Unix Kernel... but then my company got bought out, I got rich :-) I love Unix-Linx-Solaris whatever and thought I'd like a Mac, I love bits of the Mac and hate other bits of it. Proabaly because I have only been using the Mac for about 3 months. My PC (XP) has a dual core 3.2 GHz processor in it and my Mac only has a 2.0 - that should about make them level as far as underlying OS's go. Is there anywhere I can go to discuss the bits I don't like about the Mac and PC (to a tech level of byte swapping-microprocessor memeory address schemes and what applications use interpreters etc etc) where there are people who actually like both PC and Mac? And try to make them work better together? Mac people seem overly friendly and ready to help - PC XP users - where I originally come from are generally under-whelmed and Unix-Linux users, where I find myself the happiest, are factual-logical and just want to get to the bottom of the problem ;-) Don't know if this is the place to ask, but I've been cross platformed all my life and want to find the living room. If anyone knows of the nirvana of cross-platform PC-MAC, can you please email Grown up discussions about Mac vs. PC 2183 MuahMan No, we just don't appreciate lies. Which seems to be all you are capable of telling. Funny, I do all my online banking on my Mac at home. And, I am... Cheers jogail
