TWAIN may be a standard, but for each scanner you still require a manufacturer specific driver.

I own a Mustek A3 large flat bed scanner that uses TWAIN drivers on Windows. It works great.

If you google it, you'll find something that proports to be a TWAIN driver for OS X, but I know for a fact it doesn't work for Tiger.

Also, EVERY flatbed scanner that works with Apple is the same size.

Why can't Apple and it's partners be innovative here?

Good point.

Chances are the printer you're thinking of is made for Windows and Mac support will be non-existent. Forget about help on Mac Forums.

If you go to Fry's or CompUSA, or an Apple store you won't find a printer that prints larger than 13"x19".

For artists and photographers it' be an obvious profitable nitch...

John C. Randolph Try searching for "large flatbed scanner" on the internet, and similar other keywords. "scanner 24whatever...

Offer a quality printer, using ink-bottles, that allows you to print 20"x24". Better yet, 24x36.
