searching for "large flatbed scanner"... is competely the wrong wording... no wonder you don't find anything. macs have more access to more scanners than any other platform, it's the nature of the market. look for: large format scanner os x NO QUOTES

haven't you ever taken an economics clbutt? if so, it's simple to understand when you get outside the norm, prices go way up... what you are requesting is basically a dinosaur... the need for scanners largely died when digital cameras came online 5-10 years ago... why would you "scan anything" when you can take a picture of it?

what exactly are you trying to scan? come copyrighted poster?

because Mac users have moved beyond needing that type of format, whereas Windows users are still using old equipment.

ah... think about what you are asking for... "a scanner"... by default that's an obsolete piece of technology... so if you were at MacWorld and didn't seen them, that's simple because they weren't the future... only the past... go to an antique dealer and see what you find.
