Hardware wanna haves and just wanna haves
New hardware:
1. Support for a flat bed scanner that scans 24"x30" or larger.
2. Support for a printer that prints 24"x30" and uses paper, not a paper roll.
(Apple is supposed to be the OS for Artists - so what gives? And HP and Lexmark are supposed to be competing so vigrously - but all printers are the same.)
3. Support that uses ink from bottles instead of ink-jet cartridges.
Easily a $10K item. Maybe a $60K item depending on what kind of quality you need...
Just wanna have:
1. Select-one-click evocation of text-to-speech reading of HTML pages in Safari. (Getting to text-to-speech in Safari now requires you navigate two menus and then click. It sucks.)
2. One click full zoom support for large images in iPhoto. (By default zooming in iPhoto fits to page - zooming in ALL the way on large images is cludgy.)
3. Support for Kodak-CDs that lets you zoom in and see images blown all the way up (like what NextStep had).
