Why would I need to pretend something I have just shown you admitted to?

Maybe you should read it again (and get someone to explain it to you this time).

The sequence of text proceeded as follows. A poster named BusyGuy "For now, I think I'll stick to my guns and continue to claim that, by and large, "synonymous" means, to most people, and in most circumstances, "identical (that is, with respect to the meaning of two words)"

Snit answered BusyGuy with: "Identical or nearly so..."

To which Tim replied: "Incest IS love by the very definition of the words."

Tim is *obviously* stating his belief that the two are "Identical". Tim subsequently provided a reason for his belief (and his choice of wording)... but that is irrelevant as you are seen agreeing with his statement above and the context he *obviously* made it in.

You agreed with Tim (and his context) when you issued the following reply to him: "Of course it is... can you find *any* quote where *anyone* has questioned that?"
