How to Shut the Mouths of the WinDupes 924Davoud: Mike: You aresooooopredictable! 30-50 million Macs out there. "According to research from New York-based TrendWatch, 83 percent of graphic designers, 77 percent of corporate design departments and 65 percent of advertising agencies rely on Macintosh computers. And publishers also continue to depend on AppleÕs machines." And: - FBI - Naval Research Laboratory - Los Alamos National Laboratory - NASA - National Insbreastutes of Health - Time, Inc. - Most of the world's newspapers. - ESPN, ABC, CBS, NBC, Comedy Central, PBS, et al. - US Army - Space Telescope Science Insbreastute - James T. Webb Space Telescope Design Team - And on and on. And you would have me believe that "no-one" is attacking any of them! Why don't the Macs get compromised when Microsoft is penetrated? They use Macs for software development and graphics. Windows doesn't have the most attacks as calculated by attacks per machine. You see, except for repeaters on the same vulnerable Windows network, the attacker doesn't know what OS he's attacking until it succeeds. Then he knows one thing for sure: It's not a Mac. Davoud New Virtualization For Mac: 20060806 &A#JD1Tg!d8 This note has four parts: 1) VMWare 2) Cider 3) CrossOver 4) Security Concerns With Wine environments --------------------------- I am... I usually don't let these threads get personal, but I couldn't help noting that in addition to being a sniveling, driveling, whining coward who posts anonymously, you claim to be running Windows Vista as well as running OS X on non-Apple hardware. That makes you a thief, as well. Having realized this, I will let you have your one -- or twenty if you wish -- last pathetic whine in this thread, as I have a good reputation to maintain and I can't be seen as consorting with cowards and thieves. -- usenet *at* davidillig dawt com
