Again Mike proves that he is a dolt when it comes to Macs. If he bothered to do any study of Mac versus PC hardware he would know they are not 'exactly' the same. The OS is obviously not 'exactly' the same. And anyone who has ever read any (ANY) studies of Return On Investment (ROI) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) knows that Macs have always been the least expensive option. What dolts like Mike never think about is anything beyond the initial cost of the box. They also never bother to compare computers feature for feature. Macs typically provide a lot more and often better features than PCs. But certainly, Dell have managed to save some money because they pump out higher numbers of boxes. However, if you have taken a look at how Dell are doing lately, apparently they have skipped on their profit margin, in an effort to compete on price, a little too much! The result has been less than predicted market results, thus a drop in the stock price. BTW: Who is this 'Mike' really? What troll hides beneath the mask? I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this... 1585 incorrect. apple engineers their boards, dell does not, they also have more pull with Intel than a dell does since they work closer together on more advanced projects. intel has over 1000 employees working on... Most companies "care about" every market segment they can find. Apple seems to actively avoid some of them... -- Fortune Magazine, 11-29-05: What's your computer setup today? Frederick Brooks: I happily use a Macintosh. It's not been equalled for ease of use, and I want my computer to be a tool, not a challenge. Frederick Brooks is the author of 'The Mythical Man Month'. He spearheaded the movement to modernize computer software engineering in 1975
