Film at 11. Apple provides a system that works together, not just parts. This involves working on the software support for its new hardware, for I'm sure if Apple actually rushed to ship a BluRay PC that lacked iDVD support you'd be first in the CSMA whiny-baby peeing line.

Actually it is since Apple is firmly in the BluRay camp, and no OEM of Apple's stature has sold any next-gen DVD machines yet.

But let's get this pee-on-Apple party straight: Apple has never been a technology leader (except for SCSI in 1985, NuBus in 1987, and 1394 in 1993-1999). The canonical examples that demonstrate the Apple Way are the 3.5" floppy, USB, 802.11, and LCDs.

Apple did not invent these technologies, pioneer their use in PCs, but came to the party with solid, reliable integrations that defined these technologies role in the PC universe.

That's what Apple does Nicholas, bring to market solid solutions when they are ready.

IOW, the standard "waahh -waah I can't afford a $1000 MacBook" bleating from Nicholas...
