Is the Mac a PC 2586
Itanium systems have the x86 instruction set. You should know that. Is the Mac a PC 2587 Check this out. I just read this on Wikipedia. "EFI was originally created for Intel's IA-64 architecture. Since then, it has also been added to some of Intel's newer PC chipsets. It has been... Sure they did. BIOS is not exclusive to the IMB PC you know? It's firmware. It stands for Basic Input-Output System. That's what Apple had before EFI. If it came on disk or if it was in firmware, Apple had a BIOS. Now what did Apple use before EFI? Look you lost this argument. Stop trying to invent things I never said. I never said BIOS makes it a PC, you did. You're getting confused now. I said the x86 CPUs make it a clone. I never said BIOS alone. That's you and you're wrong. Actually the more I talk, the more you get confused. When did I ever say that the BIOS is the only criteria for it to be a clone? x86 PCs means clone. That includes Itanium PCs, Apple PCs and Dell PCs. They're all clones, oh look there's someone else trying to talk some sense into you. John
