Anyone with a lick of sense knows that the speed of processors alone are not the measure of the overall speed of a personal computer.

One must also take into account:

The Front Side Bus speed The Memory clock speed The access speed of hard drives The access speed of external drives The System Bus speed The Video accesss speed The amount of system memory, as well as video memory. If both the System and the video card share memory from a common pool, this will slow the over-all speed of the personal computer down.

And other variables, including the state of fragmentation of Hard drives, as well as the number of applications currently running.

So, really, you're all making "strawman" arguments, and just batting propaganda back and forth, which will never settle any argument.
