But not advocating? So what's the difference? POinting to one device as being an "iPod person" isn't advocating that device?

Are you now claiming that you only mentioned those iPod persons, but you wouldn't actually recommend anyone getting them instead of the iPod?
No, not at all. It seems that there has been an unexpected amount of problems with the MacBook Pro. Let's hope it's not a trend and that Apple fixes it promptly. But this, with burning batteries or otherwise malfunctioning Mac models seems to be the exception with Apple, not the rule.
Ehm? Wasn't it just Snit and Jim? I wouldn't call Jim Lee Jr. one of the "most vocal Apple fans", nor would I call Snit that. Even if I did, they hardly consbreastute *most* of the apple fans in this group.
