Not a troll. But as many of you know, I bought a new 20" imac Core Duo a few months back, it has 2GB Ram in it. I play World of Warcraft a lot, and it does it well. But I am in a guild that uses a com program called Ventrilo. Well as it would have it, Ventrilo for Mac only uses one kind of codec that my guild server doesnt have. So I decided to put Windows XP on, and play on the Windows side. Windows went on fine, and Ventrilo installed fine, and works perfect.

Here is the interesting part, the game LOOKS so much better under Windows. I am seeing visual effects that I didn't see before. For instance, I can now see into water, at the stuff under the surfact, I see glares and reflections on texture surfaces. All in all the game is much more immersive and life like, it was very 2d and cartoony on OSX. I am not sure, but it seems smoother as well.

Interesting Apple Experience For Someone Trying To Switch
I just purchased a Intel iMac a couple of months ago. I purchased a copy of Aperture directly from Apple before the price drop. When Apple dropped the price, I...

Would this be Direct3d vs. OpenGL?

Also, FWIW. Microsoft is quite lax with their activation. I had a aol Green Dell restore CD that I used to install Windows from, it did fine, but wanted to activate. It wouldn't work over the internet, so I called the 800 number, and got India. They told me that I couldn't put the Dell version on my Mac, I explained that I have gotten rid of the Dell, and they said the on an OEM the license is void once the machine no longer exist. So I then told them that I Bought the retail package from Dell 'with' the computer, and that it wasn't pre-installed. Then then said "Oh, ok... Here is your product ID"

Go Figure....
