I don't think it works that way, anyway. Apple evolves its OS like Microsoft evloves Windows. It adds features periodically and changes things that they think need to be changed. MS came out with Win95 eleven years ago and it has evolved into XP and even merged with NT at some point. Apple evolves OSX (at a somewhat faster pace than does MS with Windows) in the same way. OSX shipped in the spring of 2001, and since then has evolved with features added and things changed. OSX 10.5 will be as different from 10.4 as Vista will be from XP - and at the rate MS keeps retrenching and delaying Vista, OSX may actually have MORE new features than Vista when the latter finally ships.
