You asked -- no, you INSISTED -- that Apple back up the claim. They necessarily have to do that OUTSIDE of the ad -- because, as noted, you challenged it after seeing the ad.

Therefore you have to allow their explanation. Apple's explanation states that the Sophos report is what was used.

Now, you can challenge Sophos, or impugn them, but your challenge is with the Sophos numbers. Apple is not involved in your challenge any more, because they have answered it.

After succeeding to learn more about Sophos, how they collected their data, or you demonstrate that their information is flawed, then you can add a challenge or claim against Apple.

Here's an example: Let's say Sophos' turned out to be the highest reported figures in the industry. You could then suggest that Apple chose the highest numbers in order to exaggerate the issue. Or maybe Sophos is partnered with Apple in some way -- then you could make the suggestion that the partnership is a conflict of interest.

In other words, you have to actually TAKE the new information given and DEVELOP your argument -- not just restate the same garbage in spite of the answers and information given.
