We aren't impressed.

That would help for starters.

Guffaw!!! There are many flavors of Unix out there. Even M$ had a very poor implementation back in the early 80s called Xenix, that was very buggy. But only the OpenSource consortium has the rights to UNIX¨ such as the likes of SCO. Or so they have made that screwy claim. So what does it mean really to be UNIX¨? Obtain and pay for the right to use it the registered trademark.

Perhaps so. I feared that you would try to define Unix arguments from there. I think I gave...

Guffaw!! Again you show your total ignorance of the topic concerning Unix. Where does windows fit in?? No where. But let a vendor claim to be windows and all hell breaks loose for infringing on a registered trademark... just like UNIX¨. But you do know that there is Tru-64 UNIX, Solaris, SCO, AIX, and IRIX out there? And they all have their differences. The OS X kernel is a microkernel implementation... just like Tru-64 UNIX.

And that is what OS X is based on... BSD UNIX. You can't tell the difference on OS X. There are a few differences, but in limits only.

So far, OS X is rock solid. Can you tell the difference between OS X and Solaris?
