OSX's amazing resize! 1637
Why? You still have access to all of the menus (surely you haven't given up using menus?), the contextual menu, and the keyboard commands, which users of the OS may use more frequently, anyway (I almost never use the corner to resize a movie!). You also CAN use all the controls for the movie -- you can easily use the menus, contextual menu, and keyboard for all of those, too. It's not always about the buttons displayed! So what's the problem? Just ONE method is off-screen? That's not really a problem -- it's a minor glitch for that one movie. Not in my book -- the ONLY way to do this. Anything that resizes both dimensions at once MUST be restricted to the corner. If you want to resize in just one dimension, maybe the sides can ALSO resize the window -- but then I'd hope we weren't talking about a movie. Apple decided people wanted to MOVE the window frames by grabbing the edge -- and that precludes resizing by the same handle. It's a UI decision, not a failure.
