OSX's amazing resize! 1639
Screen Capture functions are just as simple: Entire screen as a file : command-shift-3 Entire screen to clipboard : command-shift-option-3 Selected area as a file : command-shift-4 Selected area to clipboard : command-shift-option-4 OSX's amazing resize! 1640 Weird. In Tiger, at the least, your Help file should have shown: Shortcuts for taking pictures of the screen You can use keyboard shortcuts... (These are plainly visible in Help and the Keyboard Shortcuts section of Control panels, where you can also add more!) Those options are FAR superior to Windows' method. There is also a handy small utility included to grab pictures like this, called Grab. It's right in the Utilities folder. It has both instructions and more options for such things. It also is pointed out by the Help system. Here's an interesting observation -- Windows keyboards STILL have a 'Print Screen' key. That had a very different reason to exist in the past -- and that has been far surpbutted by all aspects of the technology today. What's more, this use of it has nothing to do with 'printing' -- which means it is not more obvious or natural.
