No one went to court over a bj... it's only spin that tells the story this way. Clinton made a conscious decision to be dishonest at the wrong time on more than one occasion. Juries...

This is not the 1700s, and things are not the same as they were in the 1700s. Further, the consbreastution is not perfect as originally written.

If the Consbreastution were perfect as originally written, there wouldn't be any amendments to it. The people who wrote the consbreastution knew that things change, and they knew that the consbreastution was not perfect as written; that's why they incorporated provisions for amendmending it.

Many parts of the consbreastution are compromises. Some delegates wanted each state to have an equal voice in the congress, and some wanted the representation in congress to be proportional to their population. The compromise was to have two houses, one for each paradigm.

What the whiners about the EC don't seem to realize is that had the rules been different, if the candidates knew going in that the popular vote is all that mattered they would...

Some states wanted slaves to be counted as part of the population when determining representation in the house; other states did not want them counted at all. The compromise was to add the number of free persons and 3-5 of all others in each state.

And the purpose of the EC was not to give a greater influence to small states; rather, it was because the founding fathers did not trust the people to vote directly for the president. This business about big cities is just a bunch of BS by the right wing to rationalize their efforts to win elections by any means they feel they can get away with.
