OT Climate Change Is Going TO Kill Us All... 2209
Yes. You left out natural gas, which wil be around for a looong time, due to oceanic deposits of methane. I'm all for breeder reactors that can use nuclear fuels many times over. The problem with wind and solar is that their output is dependent on the weather. No wind? No power.* Solar: Too many clouds, haze or fog? No power. Damns are one thing, tidal harnesses and thermocline transducers are other possibilities. OT Climate Change Is Going TO Kill Us All... 2210 Stuart Krivis But it still non-toxic. Dirt is dirt after all. The colorado river moves... *) Another drawback of wind power is that as the wind picks up, the urban power drain increases, as houses are coolede more by the same wind that creates the power. Or, when we get the space elevator max a centuriy from now, we can transport the power down to earth with superconducting cables. There are truly enormous amounts of energy to be harvested from space! Or a Honda Insight. Agreed. -- regards, Peter Bj¿rn Perls¿
