OT More Evidence That Al Gore Is Full Of It 487Holidays and the Military Fresh off from Independence Day there are many thoughts brewing in my mind. That which I wish to relay to you today concerns...
How do you know that? There's no data there to show that the mean temperature would have dropped were it not for nasty greenhouse gases. The point is that if the rise between 1910 and 1945 (or so) was a natural warming cyle, then the "man-made" one between 1977 and 2006, being so similar, is practically indestinguisable from the earlier rise. Logic dictates that if the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere during the late 20th and early 21st century is causing this, the slope of the graph would be much steeper and the change much greater because the amount of C02 being dumped into the atmosphere increases every year. Yet it isn't doing that. The rfate of change and overall change are not much different from the 1910-1945 temperature rise. I agree. But I'm merely pointing out that the mean temperature data simply does not support the notion of THIS century-long warming trend being either triggered by, or supported by the emission of greenhouse gases. -- George Graves The health of our society is a direct result of the men and women we choose to admire.
