You're missing the point.

Would you think it a good idea if the keyboard shortcuts one uses for menu functions -- Cmd-O, Cmd-C, Cmd-V, etc -- would you think it a good idea if they still worked, but there was no way to determine if they existed except by reading the manual for the system and-or the software involved? Of course not.

Expose is hidden in the sense that there is no way short of reading the manual or just happening upon it to learn that it is there.

If there were an Expose sub-menu in the Apple menu you'd see it even if you weren't using it, and you could look and see what the sub-menu contained. You'd learn of Expose's *existence* even if you'd never seen the demo.
