One more reason XP is better 1089Brian Pratt said the following on 26-04-2006 07:33 am: Expose is touted in all the advertising as well, it isn't just SJ presentations. I like the way if you don't let go immediately, it will stay until you let go then go back to the way it was. One more reason XP is better 1090 Sorry, but that's no answer. Given that it allows you to do everything as efficiently, why... I don't expect everyhting I use frequently to be easily accessible instantly, on a mbutt-produced OS. I also expect some 'features' that I find downright silly or useless to be there 'in my face' when I first boot a new OS. I accept that I have to customize it, and that's why I go through pref panes and the like, to find out how to get rid of what I don't want and see what there is I want. Although far form perfect, Os X does a pretty good job of presenting all this and making it not unpleasant to do (mostly). At least the occurences where I feel I am fighting against an enemy who doesn't want me to disable things happen far less frequently than with windows. Linux is different again, I feel like features are a reward for having conquered another set of arcanenesses. In finder there is already a show and hide finder option in the apple menu, and there are corresponding commands in the other apps. The system-wide commands in the apple menu are not similar to the expose features. have a look at what is there already, and imagine how incongruous it would be to have the expose features there.
